Important safety announcement for all Discord users:
Discord recently introduced logging in via QR code.
However, a serious exploit exists.
DO NOT scan a QR code for Discord-related gifts or prizes, including supposed “Nitro giveaways”, through the Discord mobile app. This can give someone immediate access to your account, even if you have 2-factor authentication on.
Be sure to spread the word to everyone you know. This is a serious flaw with Discord’s login system, and there’s probably a lot of people losing accounts to this scam. We predict there will be a fix soon, but until then, be aware of this.
So yeah this has been going around a lot on many different servers I am in. Where it is nice to know people are being asked to protect themselves more give this video a watch to understand more on the matter. Please don’t buy into all @ messages servers give you and always trust sources with good track records.
